“ Leaving this review is FAR overdue!, but having just received the photographs from our last session with Valerie I wanted to put this down. My wife and I, plus our family have been working with Valerie for going on 8 years now and she has been nothing short of AMAZING!! We first contacted Valerie about doing our Engagement photos back in 2012. Now I personally hate taking photos...it’s just never been my thing. Going into the day of our engagement photos I was dreading what was to follow and wanted to get the day over with as soon as possible, but come the end of the session I had a smile on my face that I couldn’t get rid of!! Valerie is the definition of professional but has an extraordinary way of making the atmosphere lighthearted and fun! My wife and I laughed our way thru the session and it has been that way each and every time we’ve met with her.

On our wedding day my wife and I were nervous wrecks, but Valerie and her team went above and beyond to make sure our day was nothing short of perfect. Our wedding planner essentially dropped the ball on multiple occasions that day, but Valerie herself stepped up and made sure that things were taken care of...even at one point noticing that my wife and I had not eaten, so she made us two plates and pulled us aside so we can eat! That might not sound like much but the thought and care that she put into that day is something my wife and I will never forget!!

In total, Valerie has done our Engagements, Bridals, Wedding, a Mothers Day shoot, Pregnancy, our Daughters 1st Birthday, and Easter Family photos we just did last month. We have and will always recommend VMA to anyone in need of the very best in photography!

I had a limited amount of time to take pictures since I’m currently in medical school, but she worked around it. I only had one day I could take my bridals (which it poured the entire day) and somehow she still managed to make my pictures come out beautiful! Valerie and her assistant/second photographer Annie are INCREDIBLE! VMA photographed our engagement session, my bridals and our wedding. She was able to truly capture our personalities on film while making us look amazing at the same time. She allows you to feel very comfortable during the photo sessions and has wonderful ideas for lighting, positioning and location that translate beautifully to film. We received innumerable compliments on the quality of our photographs. During my bridal session, Annie was so attentive to the positioning of every hair and piece of lace which added so much to the finished product. These girls are a stellar team. Not only did she capture the most intimate and incredible candid moments of our ceremony and reception, but also managed to easily coordinate my very large family and transition smoothly between family group photos after the ceremony.
